You may be afflicted with the dreaded Paralysis by Analysis
(PBA) and not even know it! It’s a stealthy crippler that
has only recently been recognized as the NUMBER ONE killer
of the dreams that budding home business online
entrepreneurs have for success and financial freedom.
How do I know if I have PBA, you ask? Well, this insidious
killer shows itself in many ways, but here are a few of the
most common and certain signs that you might have PBA:
Is your hard drive inundated with all sorts of e-books and
“How-to” by every guru under the sun, telling you that you
simply have to buy their one-size-fits-all solution? You
may not even have read most of ‘em! You may have PBA.
Are you subscribed to so many different ezine “courses” and
“teams” to Build Your Opt-in List, or Optimize Your Site for
Search Engines, or whatever the fad of the week is, that you
don’t even know when – or who – or even why you signed up in
the first place? You probably don’t even read most of the
emails either, huh? You may have PBA.
In this age of information overload, it’s really easy to
fall victim to these pitfalls. Actually, I’d probably call
it data overload, more than information overload, since so
much of it is just words that really don’t tell you what you
want or need to know.
If you try to make heads or tails out of all the stuff
you’ve accumulated on your hard drive, it can easily become
a full-time obsession. It’s like searching for the Holy
Grail of internet success – and you don’t want to commit to
any answer until you know it’s the real thing. Does this
sound like you? I know it was me – until …
The CURE jumped right out and bit me! It was so obvious and
straightforward, so disgustingly simple – I was ticked off
at myself for not seeing it way sooner! Have you ever heard
somebody say, “Don’t study it to death!”? When you’re
studying and analyzing all the time, you can’t make any
progress – you can’t act – you’re paralyzed!
AHA!!! That’s it -- the cure for Paralysis by Analysis is
to STOP ANALYZING! TAKE ACTION! NOW!
You’ve heard the one about the patient who says to the
doctor, “Doc, it hurts when I go like that!” The doctor
says, “So don’t go like that!” If your constant analysis of
data is hurting your pursuit of home business success and
financial freedom, DON’T GO LIKE THAT! Stop analyzing,
start acting!
Now of course I don’t mean you should never read another
e-book, or get another guru’s tape, or sign up for another
course. Information – that is, data that you can use – is a
good thing. But there’s no substitute for taking action –
how else are you going to know what works for you and, even
more important, what doesn’t?
Your ACTION will probably be different from mine –
You may decide to get your own website to sell a product you
have.
You may decide to sell someone else’s product as an
affiliate.
You may decide to write articles to attract visitors to your
website.
Whatever it is – DO IT NOW! If it doesn’t work, you can
always stop, change it, or tweak it. You can combine it
with another strategy or tactic.
But you must break the shackles of this dreaded killer. We
can beat PBA, but the only way is to TAKE ACTION NOW! Once
you do, you’ll never look back. Success will be yours!
